How does FRONTPRO® kill fleas?
Afoxolaner is the active ingredient in FRONTPRO®, which kills fleas and ticks that take a blood meal on the host leading to uncontrolled central nervous system activity, resulting in the death of the insects and ticks. The rapidity of action means that adult fleas are killed before they can produce eggs, helping to prevent infestation of the environment where the dog lives. Regular monthly treatment is recommended during the season of highest infestation to keep your pet protected from fleas.
Why can I see more fleas on my dog after administering FRONTPRO®?
FRONTPRO® acts on the central nervous system of insects by causing hyperexcitation, you may see fleas get on your dog's coat and appear more visible when they die.
How long should I use FRONTPRO®on my dog?
In areas where fleas are present year-round, treatment with FRONTPRO® may continue for several months. To minimize the likelihood of flea re-infestation, it is important to treat all animals within a household with an antiparasitic product. Seek advice from your veterinarian for guidance on continued administration of FRONTPRO®.
Does FRONTPRO® kill fleas at all stages of their life cycle?
FRONTPRO® quickly kills adult fleas before they can produce eggs, thus interrupting their normal life cycle.
Can my dog get fleas again after FRONTPRO® administration?
FRONTPRO® kills adult fleas quickly and is indicated for the treatment of flea infestations for 5 weeks. This means that fleas jumping on your dog will be killed during a full month. Ask your veterinarian for advice on regular monthly treatment to keep your pet flea-free.

Can FRONTPRO® be administered to cats or other pets?
No, FRONTPRO® chewable tablet must be used only for dogs.
Is it necessary to administer FRONTPRO® with food?
FRONTPRO® does not need to be administered with food since it is a palatable tablet. In cases where the dog does not take the tablet spontaneously, you can administer FRONTPRO® together with food.
What adverse reactions can I observe after using FRONTPRO®?
Afoxolaner is an insecticide and acaricide belonging to the isoxazoline family. Adverse reactions to FRONTPRO® may include vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, lack of appetite, itching, and neurological signs. Most adverse reactions are of short duration. If in doubt, consult your veterinarian.
How long does FRONTPRO® take to start acting against fleas?
The active ingredient in FRONTPRO® reaches maximum plasma concentration in 2-4 hours, with rapid protection against fleas. After administration, fleas are killed within 8 hours.
If a dog weighs more than 50 kg, can I use FRONTPRO®?
For dogs weighing more than 50 kg use an appropriate combination of the tablets on the market. Contact your veterinarian for this type of use.
