Features of Eagle Dog Lamb dog food
.
The lamb meat in EagleDog Lamb kibble is in a dehydrated form, meaning that the protein from the meat is 11 times more concentrated than fresh meat, as fresh meat contains at least 70% water.
So other foods that contain, say, 30% fresh meat, once it is dehydrated, the protein from the meat is more concentrated.
So, other foods that contain, for example, 30% fresh meat, once it is dehydrated (a necessary process to transform the meat into kibble) will have a real level of 9%: but with this percentage, the meat will not be the most important element.
Meat protein: this means that the protein derived from meat is 11 times more concentrated, as it contains at least 70% water.
Lamb meat contains a high percentage of proteins of high biological value with good quantities and an excellent balance of all the amino acids essential for the development, growth and maintenance of all parts of the animal's body; there are also certain amino acids, known as "essential" (lysine, tryptophan, sulphur amino acids, etc.), which are essential for the development of muscles.
Lamb meat is also an important source of minerals (zinc, copper, selenium and iron) and of water-soluble (B1, B2, B6, niacin and B12) and fat-soluble (E) vitamins
.
In particular, vitamin E is the most important natural antioxidant in cell membranes, protects phospholipids and is low in cholesterol, counteracts the formation of free radicals, reduces the degradation of group A and B vitamins, has antithrombotic activity and prevents premature tissue ageing.
The lamb meat used in our formulas comes from lambs raised free in the pastures of New Zealand.
